A decision is by essence anti-intellectual. No decision can ever comprehend the immense complexity of reality. Decisions brutally simplify, cut clear, disturb and erase reality to replace it with a new palimpsest of obscene simplicity. Until the next decision, which reality desperately craves none the less.
Perhaps that is the reason why politicians are often reducing complexities in simple "truths", tailoring speeches to the vast democratic crowds of untrained ears to complex political issues?
It seems that some people have misunderstood the saying "fake it until you can make it", they just "fake it until everyone else believe they can make it". Particularly true of politicians.
